OPA SPAGHETTI
Recipe evolved over time……tweaked so grandkids liked it as well

- 1 Box Thin Spaghetti or Pasta
- 1 Package Lean Ground Beef
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Sweet Onion Finely Chopped
- 2 Peppers Finely Chopped
- 1 Cup Mushrooms Chopped
- 1 Cup Fresh Herbs Parsley, Basil, etc
- 1 Can Stewed Tomatoes
- 1 Can Tomato Paste
- Olive Oil
- Teriyaki Sauce
- Red Wine or Balsamic Vinegar
- Maple Syrup
- Fresh Ginger
- Half & Half or Whipping Cream
- Salt & Pepper
- 1 Can Crushed Pineapple
- Grated Parm
- Ketjap
- Sambal Oelek
Sauté onion sand garlic….add a bit of salt. Add the ground beef and stir until almost done. Add the fresh ginger (or dried spice).
Add chopped pepper sand let simmer. Chop stewed tomatoes and add to pan. Add tomato paste. Add some teriyaki sauce, some red wine, and a bit of maple sugar. Add water if needed. Don’t make too wet. Stir often. Let simmer to thick sauce. Taste for pepper and salt
Lower heat. Add cream and chopped herbs.
Taste and add pepper, and or salt if needed and serve.
